"I cannot say enough positive things about Get in the Act drama classes. My children participate in a number of activities, but these classes have been by far the most positive on their overall development as quality people."

Our Science Theater program grooms students to view science as enriching and worthy of pursuit.
Get in the Act is pleased to announce the expansion of our Science Theater program to the following schools for the 2011-2012 School Year:
"The program was amazing! Get in the Act weaved in state standards with exciting lessons that included visuals, movement, skits and so much more! It is authentic, meaningful learning."
Get in the Act is thrilled to bring back Science Theater for a second consecutive year to Zephyr Cove Elementary School in Nevada. Students will explore these exciting science concepts using upbeat performing arts techniques: "Energy: Light and Sound" "Electricity and Magnetism" "Weather on the Move" and "New Plants."
"I was very impressed with Get in the Act when they came into my classroom and were able to motivate a first grade child who had severe learning issues and who otherwise rarely participated in classroom activities. Get in the Act's activities incorporate all modes of learning and are excellent tools for building skills in young students."
The California Arts Council announces that Get in the Act has received an "Artist in Schools" grant for the 2011–2012 school and fiscal year. The "Artists in Schools" program from the state's arts agency is designed to support professional teaching artists in residency activities in classrooms and after school programs. Get in the Act collaborated with the EL Dorado Community Foundation in the application for this program.
"I first learned of Get in the Act programs from several parents and a teacher from our school who drove their own children to Truckee once a week to participate in the lessons. Every one of them, often with tears in their eyes, described a program that went way beyond what a typical drama teacher elicits from their students. After observing the classes in action I understand what they mean. I watched their program turn shy, very self conscious youngsters into stage performers. Parents repeatedly say that Get in the Act brings out the best in their children, improving their self esteem and love of the classroom."
