Get in the Act! Arts in Action

Our Mission and History: Get in the Act! Arts in Action uses the performing arts as powerful teaching tools to enhance and strengthen the learning process.Get in the Act creates inspiring interdisciplinary arts programs that engage the whole student so that participants learn by doing dramatic presentations, simulating real-life experiences, and incorporating all their senses in core curriculum learning.
Founded in September 2009, Get in the
Act! Arts in Action 501(c)(3) is
a team of professionally trained artists and educators working in partnership with schools, parks and recreation departments, senior citizen centers and the wider community. Get in the Act serves and is accessible to all Northen Sierra Nevada communities.. For more information, please go to the

Get in the Act! Theater Arts
Academy
Founded in September 2001,
Get in the Act! Theater Arts Academy provides young people ages 3 to 18 with
innovative and enriching performing arts training. Through their work in the Academy,
students can explore and express their individuality, build self-confidence,
and gain new knowledge and understanding of acting techniques. Each session culminates with a “showcase”
for family and friends, enabling the students to apply their skills towards
a performance Get in the Act builds on 10 years of the Academy's successful creative arts programming in underserved and isolated communities, serving over 2500 students and more than 10,000 audience participants.. For more information please go to
