"Get in the Act has had an amazing effect on how our students have learned the necessary curriculum in science and beyond!"
Principal Nancy Cauley, Zephyr Cove Elementary School

Science Theater combines energizing theater techniques with guided-inquiry to engage elementary students in earth, physical and life science concepts. Each lesson uses active drama so that students fully explore an intriguing science question. A typical program consists of three classrooms meeting separately once a week for nine weeks, with each lesson exploring a new science inquiry.
Our lessons are hands-on and participatory; in this way we engage students by involving all of their senses in the learning process. Educators tell us that our techniques connect with students that have difficulty grasping concepts through traditional teaching methods.
Science Theater prepares students to question, hypothesize, interpret, present and reflect on their findings in order to make effective decisions. Our proactive and upbeat techniques groom students to view science as enriching and worthy of pursuit.
Get in the Act programs provide young people ages 3 to 17 with innovative and enriching performing arts training. Through their work students can explore and express their individuality, build self-confidence and gain new knowledge and understanding of acting techniques. Each program culminates with a "showcase" for family and friends, enabling the students to apply their skills in a dramatic performance. Enrollment for classes and camps are limited to allow for one-on-one work between the student and instructor. Class Schedules
Middle and High School students create theatrical productions that use dynamic techniques to create high-energy, interactive productions that educate as well as entertain. The ensemble tours to schools, libraries and special events throughout the school year, educating and reinforcing Language Arts and Comprehension skills. This program is for the committed theater student.
