Get
in the Act! Arts in Action 501(c)(3) Non-for-Profit:
Our mission: We use the arts as a tool to enhance and
strengthen the learning process.
We offer performance arts based
programs designed to nurture and develop the whole student. All of the programs fulfill the
California and Nevada State Core Arts Curriculum requirements. Each program is customized to meet the
needs of the particular organization and age group.
Artists
in Schools:
Participants in our performing arts residency
use theater, improvisation, playwriting, music or dance to explore core
curriculum subjects in a dramatic way. Our programs allow students to use hands-on, interactive learning
techniques that support and enhance academic standards.
Teacher Professional Development Workshops
Discover how to use the arts as compelling
teaching tool for exploring and connecting other areas of your curriculum.
Each participant receives instruction that includes theoretical approaches,
skill and technique building, and performance development.
Artists
in the Community:
This program offers tailored arts
instruction to participants in community centers, family shelters, juvenile
halls and senior citizen facilities. Get in the Act! can adapt our curriculum to meet the specific needs
of your organization.
