In-School Education
Our mission is to help develop each participants individuality and uniqueness through the arts in a safe and stimulating learning
environment. Get in the Act strives to provide hands-on experience in a broad range of the arts which helps the participates discover
new avenues of self-expression and self-esteem and apply skills in problem solving, critical thinking, self-discipline, communication,
cooperation, and respect for diversity.
Teacher Professional Development Programs
Discover how to use the arts as compelling teaching tool for exploring and connecting other areas of your curriculum. (e.g. humanities,
language arts, social studies, science) Each participant receives instruction that includes theoretical approaches, skill and technique
building, and performance development. Educators receive first hand the process of making art and how this can become a integral part
of the teaching strategies.
Student Workshops for Grades K-12TH
A program that encourages students to explore and practice the fundamentals and the fun of drama. Through process-based drama and
imaginative play, Get in the Act Artists provide active ways to encourage imaginative thinking, effective communication, and positive
collaboration. Students learn to use voices, bodies and imaginations dramatically, while gaining a better understanding of themselves
and the world around them.
